My research
My research explores how border peoples negotiate, accommodate and resist the imposition of national boundaries in their livelihoods and everyday life.
About the student
Misael Racines holds a Master of Arts in Asian Studies (Hons) from the Australian National University. He is a former recipient of the Anthony Reid Prize in Southeast Asian Studies (2010), and has held an Endeavour Postgraduate Award, an ANU International PhD Scholarship and an ANU International Postgraduate Research Scholarship. His research interests include border studies, maritime history and migration.
