MA Scholarship in Korean Studies
The ANU Korea Institute in the College of Asia and the Pacific invites applications for a Master of Arts scholarship for 2014 commencement based on funding from the Academy of Korean Studies.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Successful applicants must meet the following criteria:
- an outstanding academic record and a minimum academic qualification equivalent to a Bachelor degree;
- interest in undertaking a field of study in Korean history, literature, linguistics, ethnomusicology, religion, politics, gender studies, or cultural studies;
- excellent academic writing skills in English;
- at least a preliminary level of training in Korean language sufficient for supporting reading knowledge
Application procedure
Interested candidates should submit a complete application packet electronically by the closing date to korea.institute@anu.edu.au. A complete application packet will include: a completed application form, a research proposal that indicates a familiarity with the research area and outlines your approach to the MA research topic (up to 5 pages including bibliography), a recent CV and a list of three referees. Letters of reference should be submitted by the referee to korea.institute@anu.edu.au by the closing date.
